WHO IS IT FOR?

n:vestigate

is a structured weekly group meeting offering a range of fun activities for children between 4-8 years to explore and develop their understanding of themselves, the world around them and the Christian faith.

Children of this age are inquisitive, energetic and enjoy creative activities but they have very short concentration spans and are still developing their motor and academic skills. They like routine, familiar faces and repetition.

Why join?
This is our youngest group and a great introduction to Girls’ Brigade. Our activities are specifically designed to allow the children to build confidence through familiarity and routine.

Badges
Children can earn badges by completing individual topics. We have over 30 themed topics within this programme that explore their characteristics, their world and the Christian faith. Badges include Our Family, Our Health, and Helping Others.

n:gage

for 7 to 11-year-olds is based on positive values which our children need and it introduces them to Bible characters whose stories reflect these values. The suggested activities encourage the children to show how these values can be seen in action.

At this age children want to gain social approval; they enjoy learning new skills, are keen to see ‘fair play’, are very competitive and have a sense of adventure. Although they’re still majorly influenced by family members, teachers and leaders they’re beginning to develop and care about group identity too. They love to belong.

Why join?
Through engaging with this programme, not only will children’s lives be transformed and enriched, but so will their communities – as they discover the adventure of following Jesus and being who they were created to be.

n:spire

for 13 to 18s empowers teenagers to engage with challenges which will help them learn new skills and find opportunities to serve, whilst discovering God’s relevance to every aspect of their life.

These young people enjoy deeper relationships with both boys and girls. They may be making key decisions about their future – options, work, and university – and can experience quite a lot of pressure from school, parents or even from themselves. They need challenge and adventure and want to take responsibility for things themselves.

Why join?
Each n:spire challenge is open to different interpretations, allowing the young people to make decisions about content, pace and engagement. Throughout, the activities will encourage them to discover what their faith means in their daily living, leisure time, decision-making, skill development and in their engagement of the world they live in.

Badges
Young people can earn badges by completing individual topics. We have over 20 topics within this programme; each topic reflecting an aspect of the young peoples’ lives. Within each topic, there are 5 different challenge options, meaning there are over 100 different options to explore. Badges include Faith, Future, and Healthy Lifestyle.
